TASI hovers near 9,000 pts at Tuesday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) finished Tuesday’s trading session with positive performance for the seventh successive session after adding 38.14 points, or 0.43%, to close at 8,934.69 points.

TASI’s liquidity climbed to SAR 3.36 billion ($894.93 million) on Tuesday from SAR 3.07 billion ($819.2 million) in the previous session, while the main market’s traded volume increased to130  million shares, compared to 110 million on Monday.

The food retail sector led risers with 1.9%, followed by the energy sector which advanced 1.2%.

On the other hand, the media and entertainment sector headed decliners and slid 1.18%, while the investment and finance sector went down 0.93%.

The stock of Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Khodari Sons topped gainers and hiked 9.96%, whereas Tourism Enterprise’s stock led decliners with 2.2%.

Al Rajhi Bank’s stock led TASI in terms of turnover with SAR 505 million, while Saudi Kayan Petrochemical’s stock registered the highest trading volume with 10.2 million shares.

The joint index between Tadawul and MSCI, MT30 index, grew6.54  points, or 0.49%, to finish the mid-week session at 1,328.21 points.

In the meantime, the Nomu Capped Index (NomuC) fell13.34  points, or 0.36%, to close at 3,678.84 points.

Similarly, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, declined7.64  points, or 0.21%, to close at3,713.64  points.

Arab Sea Information System’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer with 2.26%, while Al Kathiri Holding’s was the secondary market’s best performer after rising 4.26%.
