TASI hovers over 7,900 pts, Nomu drops Wednesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Wednesday with a positive performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 74.03 points, or 0.95%, to 7,907.01 points, registering its highest level in 17 sessions, or since 10 October.

TASI’s trading volume hit 182.29 million shares, up from 148.33 million on Tuesday, while traded value rose to SAR 3.75 billion, from SAR 3.17 billion.

The media, energy, materials, banks, and telecommunication services sectors levelled up 3.9%, 2.3%, 1.5%, 0.6%, and 0.4%, respectively.

On the flipside, the food and staples retailing sector shed 0.2%.

Saudi Fisheries Company’s (Alasmak) stock led gainers after jumping 9.9%, whereas Kingdom Holding Company’s (KHC) stock was the worst performer with 2.4%.

Alinma Bank’s stock was the most active in all terms after 20.95 million shares were exchanged, generating a turnover of SAR 457.84 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, slumped 59.81 points, or 2.3%, to close at 2,500.53 points.

Nomu’s liquidity amounted to SAR 1.07 million, up from SAR 354,400, while trading volume increased to 70,810 shares, from 20,850 on Tuesday.

Arab Sea Information System Co’s stock was the worst performer with 4.4%, whereas Al Kathiri Holding Co.’s stock topped risers after surging 19.96%.

Al Kathiri Holding Co.’s stock generated the highest liquidity with SAR 365,640, while the stock of Arab Sea Information System Co led in terms of traded volume after 36,250 shares were exchanged.
