Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 26.86 points, or 0.3%, to close at 9,037.97 points on Monday.
TASI’s liquidity rose to SAR 3.02 billion ($806.4 million) on Monday, compared to SAR 2.95 billion ($786.4 million) in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume declined to 117.54 million shares from 120.48 million on Sunday.
The food production sector led risers after adding 2.73%, while the telecommunications and basic materials sectors grew 0.66% and 0.59%, respectively.
The retailing sector headed decliners with 0.52%, whereas the banking sector dropped 0.08%.
Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance’s stock topped gainers and advanced 5.7%, while Arabian Cement’s stock led fallers after sliding 4.08%.
Al Rajhi Bank’s stock led TASI in terms of turnover of SAR 466.77 million, while Saudi Kayan Petrochemical’s stock registered the highest trading volume with 7.6 million shares.
In the meantime, the joint index between Tadawul and MSCI, MT30 index, increased 6.79 points, or 0.51%, to finish the session at 1,347.13 points.
On the other hand, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, inched down 1.12 point, or 0.03%, to close the session at 3,578.03 points.
Similarly, the Nomu Capped Index (NomuC) fell by 1.97 point, or 0.06%, to finish at 3,559.41 points.
