Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Wednesday’s trading session with negative performance.
By 10:45 am Saudi time, the main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell by 15.67 points, or 0.17%, to 9,288.53 points.
TASI’s traded volume reached 25.96 million shares exchanged through nearly 20,610 transactions at a turnover of SAR 498.04 million.
The utilities sector topped the decliners and slid 3.4%, while the food retail sector dropped by 1.6%.
On the other hand, the energy sector was the top gainer with 0.85%, whereas the pharmaceuticals sector increased by 0.6%.
The Saudi Electricity Company’s (SEC) stock headed the fallers and shed 3.9%, while the stock of Umm Al Qura Cement led the risers after adding 9.9%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, was stable at 3,615.34 points.
