TASI inches up, Nomu adds 61 pts at Sunday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 0.02% or 1.21 points to hit 8,018.06 points.

TASI’s trading volume reached 116.2 million shares on Sunday, down from 126.45 million shares on Thursday, while traded value fell to SAR 2.64 billion, from SAR 2.77 billion.

The media sector jumped 8.9%, followed by real estate management and development with 1.7%, commercial and professional services with 1.4%, and telecommunication services with 0.7%.

On the other hand, the retailing, pharmaceuticals, materials, and banks sectors went down 0.9%, 0.8%, 0.4%, and 0.17%, respectively.

Al Baha Investment and Development's stock led risers with 9.9%, whereas Saudi United Cooperative Insurance’s (Walaa) stock declined 2.2%.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock was the most active in terms of trading volume after 18.98 million shares were exchanged, while Alinma Bank’s stock led in terms of liquidity after generating SAR 303.01 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, went up 2% or 60.99 points, reaching 3,111.78 points.

Nomu’s trading volume stood at 89,820 shares on Sunday, up from 22,620 shares on Thursday, while its turnover jumped to SAR 1.43 million, from SAR 356,490.

Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock increased 7%, whereas Baazeem Trading’s stock shed 0.95%.

Arab Sea Information System’s stock acquired traded volume after 31,430 shares were exchanged, while Raydan Co’s stock dominated liquidity with SAR 392,780.
