TASI inches up, Nomu surges 181 pts at Thursday's close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Thursday in the green zone after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) increased 0.07% or 4.83 points to reach 6,910.65 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 160.38 million shares, generating SAR 2.54 billion.

The pharmaceuticals, real estate management and development, energy, materials, and banks sectors went up 1.5%, 1.4%, 1.36%, 0.13%, and 0.07%, respectively.

On the flipside, the telecommunication services sector tumbled 3.7% after the stocks of Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and The Saudi Mobile Telecommunications Company’s (Zain) levelled down, and media lost 1.7%.

The Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Group’s (Medgulf) stock topped TASI’s risers after surging 9.9%, whereas STC and Zain stocks were the worst performers with 4.1%, and 3.8%, respectively.

Al Inma Bank’s stock acquired TASI’s liquidity with SAR 405.27 million, while Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock led in terms of trading volume after 34.83 million shares were exchanged.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, soared 6.04% or 181.79 points, reaching 3,191.84 points.

Nomu’s traded volume reached 151,970 shares, with a turnover of SAR 2.56 million.

The stocks of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries, Al-Omran Industrial Trading, and Arab Sea Information System grew 10.9%, 9%, and 7.7%, respectively.

On the other hand, Raydan Co’s stock fell 2.9%.

Raydan Co’s stock led Nomu in terms of trading volume after 65,950 shares were exchanged, with a liquidity of SAR 1.06 million, closing at SAR 16.50.
