TASI levels up, Nomu stable at Sunday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Sunday in the green after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose, whereas the secondary market index, NOMU, remained unchanged.

By 10:35 am Saudi time, TASI added 0.4% or 34.2 points, reaching 8,484.18 points. Trading volume reached 16.4 million shares, via 13,640 transactions, generating SAR 449.5 million.

The media sector grew 2.97%, while the banks, materials, and telecommunication services sectors increased 0.54%, 0.4%, and 0.01%, respectively.

On the flip side, the food and staples retailing sector shed 0.34%, while pharmaceuticals edged down 0.15%.

Wataniya Insurance’s stock led gainers with 7.2%, whereas Saudi Amiantit Group’s stock was the worst performer with 1.35%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, remained stable at 2,791.6 points.
