Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) indices ended the week on a mixed note.
Market capitalisation increased to SAR 2.139 trillion ($570.34 billion) during the second week in April.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) went up 24.09 points, or 0.27%, to 9,087.97 points in a week.
Over the week, the joint index between Tadawul and MSCI, MT30 index, rose 1.83 points, or 0.14%, to 1,352.75 points.
On the other end of the spectrum, the benchmark index of the Nomu secondary market (NOMU) lost 75.78 points, or 2.1%, to 3679.81 points.
Food staples & retailing, retailing, and food & beverages sectors surged 4.3%, 4.1%, and 4%, respectively.
The telecommunications and banking sectors grew 0.26% and 0.17%, respectively, while the materials went down 0.7% and media dropped 3.7%.
Tadawul’s trading volume reached 599.72 million shares over the week, while the market’s liquidity hit SAR 15.53 billion.
