TASI marks 20-session growth, Nomu hikes Thursday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Thursday in green territory after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 92.96 points, or 1.24%, to 7,607.32 points, recording its highest growth in 20 sessions, or since 25 October.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 124.5 million shares, up from 119.6 million on Wednesday, whereas the main market’s traded value fell to SAR 2.73 billion ($729.3 million), against SAR 2.8 billion ($749.87 million).

The healthcare equipment and services sector rose 2.46%, followed by the banking sector with 1.73%.

The telecommunication services and materials sectors added 0.87% and 0.86%, respectively. 

On the other hand, the pharmaceuticals and real estate investment traded funds (REITs) sectors fell 0.35% each, while the capital goods sector declined 0.21%.

Anaam Holding’s stock led TASI’s gainers after jumping 10%, whereas the Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock was the worst performer with 9.99%.

Alinma Bank’s stock, which added 0.29%, topped the main market in terms of volume and value after 19.8 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 411.67 million in a turnover.

In the meantime, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, levelled up 18.27 points, or 0.75%, to close the last session of the week at 2,441.47 points.

Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company’s led Nomu’s risers with 9.18%.
