Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) opened Wednesday in the green, whereas the parallel Nomu market declined slightly.
The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) grew 0.27% or 21.21 points, reaching 7,263.83 points by 10:40 am Saudi time.
Turnover on TASI amounted to SAR 453.15 million after 18 million shares changed hands through 12,920 transactions.
The banking sector led risers, adding 0.69%, while the telecommunications and materials sectors inched up 0.05% and 0.03%, respectively.
On the flipside, seven sectors were down, led by commercial services with 0.67%, followed by retail with 0.52%.
Malath Cooperative Insurance led gainers, surging 7.93% to SAR 17.72, whereas MedGulf’s stock led fallers, losing 3.63% to SAR 31.60.
In the meantime, the parallel market index NOMU fell 0.95% or 19.45 points to 3,333.69 points.
Al-Kathiri’s stock was the sole riser on Nomu, adding 0.47% to SAR 19, whereas Omran led fallers, sliding 1.38% to SAR 18.
