TASI opens week higher; Nomu unchanged

Riyadh – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) commenced Sunday and the week on a positive note, whereas the secondary market index was unchanged from last week.

By 10:45 am Saudi time, the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) gained 0.19% or 15.5 points, reaching 7,968.87 points.

Turnover on the index amounted to SAR 1.08 billion after 48.1 million shares changed hands through 25,560 transactions.

Sectors saw varied performance as the consumer durables and apparel sector went up by 1.12%, while the materials and banking sectors increased 0.44% and 0.24%, respectively.

On the flipside, the commercial and professional services sector led fallers, losing 1.79%, while the telecom sector edged down 0.08%.

Stock-wise, Alsorai led gainers, surging 5.72% to SAR 14.92, while Halawani Bros dropped 4.82% to SAR 57.6.

In the meantime, the NOMU Parallel Market Index, Nomu, was stable at 3,099.69 points after Baazeem Trading added 0.38% to reach SAR 26.50, while Al Kathiri Holding fell 1.76% to SAR 27.30.
