TASI plunges 207 pts during November

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed November with a negative performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) slumped 2.58%, or 207 points, to 7,702.99 points.

The bourse’s market capitalisation value dropped 3.17% or SAR 59.59 billion ($15.89 billion), reaching SAR 1.882 billion ($485.9 billion) by the end of November.

Over the month, the food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, materials, telecommunication services, and banks sectors went down 5.36%, 5.32%, 4.7%, 1.98%, and 1.81%, respectively.

On the other hand, the retailing sector rose 3.32%, while the insurance sector increased 2.79%.

Trading volume decreased to 2.7 billion shares, from 3.9 billion shares a month before, while liquidity tumbled to SAR 62.18 billion, compared to SAR 95.74 billion during October.
