TASI plunges 33 pts, Nomu stable at Monday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday in the red zone after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 0.48% or 32.98 points, reaching 6,900.11 points.

By 10:37 am KSA time, TASI’s trading volume reached 26.94 million shares, through 13,870 transactions, with a liquidity of SAR 410.73 million.

The commercial and professional services, banks, real estate management and development, telecommunication services, and materials sectors levelled down 1.3%, 0.8%, 0.7%, 0.5%, and 0.2%, respectively.

On the other hand, the diversified financials sector increased 1.3%, and the media sector inched up 0.6%.

Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock was the worst performer after decreasing 9.9%, whereas Middle East Specialized Cables’ (MESC) topped risers with 5.4%.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU remained unchanged at 3,007.95 points.

Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock edged up 0.5%, and Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock grew 0.15%, whereas Arab Sea Information System’s stock tumbled 2.6%.
