Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Tuesday down after dropping 0.62% or 50.81 points, to 8,158.06 points.
TASI’s trading volume reached 197.54 million shares on Tuesday, down from 212.7 million on Monday, while traded value fell to SAR 5 billion ($1.3 billion), from SAR 5.24 billion ($1.4 billion).
The utilities sector decreased 1.64%, followed by the transportation segment with 1.35%. While the banking and materials sectors fell 1.01%, and 0.3%, respectively.
On the flipside, the energy sector increased 1.82%, while the telecommunication services segment edged up 0.28%.
Saudi Ceramic Company’s stock declined 4.62% to SAR 22.70, whereas the stock of Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance’s stock grew 7%, reaching SAR 26.15.
In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, rose 5.42 points, or 0.17%, to 3,256.24 points.
Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock jumped 7.07% to SAR 33, whereas Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock was the worst performer with 2.04% to close Tuesday at SAR 48.10.
