Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) rose on Monday, as the benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) added 0.18% or 14.12 points and closed at 8,013.69 points.
Traded volumes increased to 105 million shares, compared with 82.5 million shares in Sunday's trading session, with values reaching SAR 2.9 billion, up from SAR 2.08 billion yesterday.
As for the sectors’ performance, the banks index, which has the biggest weight in the market, rose by 0.7%, while basic materials gained 0.18%.
On the other hand, the telecom and energy sectors lost 1.38% and 0.58%, respectively.
Thimar led the rising stocks, surging 9.93%, while Salama Cooperative Insurance was the top decliner and dropped 7.29%.
Al Rajhi registered the highest turnover at SAR 429.66 million, while Alinma was the most actively traded stock with 8.2 million shares.
Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market levelled up by 0.67% to close at 5,593.1 points.
