TASI resumes gains on Thursday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Thursday’s trading session in the green zone, returning to gains amidst a decline in traded values to its lowest in 12 sessions.

The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) added 0.12% or 10.35 points and closed at the level of 8,353.14 points.

Traded volumes declined to 155.85 million shares, from 200.42 million shares on Wednesday. Turnovers also dropped to SAR 3.49 billion, its lowest level since 10 December, compared to SAR 4.14 billion yesterday.

Main market sector indices showed a mixed performance in the last session of the week, as the materials and energy sectors rose by 0.68% and 0.38%, respectively, while telecom and banks dipped 0.6% and 0.21%, in that order.

Al Sorayai was the top-performing stock, as it surged 9.88%, while Paper Manufacturing was the biggest loser and dropped 5.75%.

Aramco was the most actively traded stock with 11.46 million shares and a turnover of SAR 399 million.

Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market went up by 7.52% or 511.75 points and closed at 7,314.60 points.
