TASI retreats 43.31 pts, Nomu slides 76 pts in week

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange's main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed in the red zone in the week ended on Thursday, 28 September after dropping 0.59% or 43.31 points to reach 7,283.01 points, against 7,326.32 points in the week before.

On a weekly basis, TASI’s market capitalisation decreased SAR 4.76 billion ($1.27 million) reaching SAR 1.721 trillion ($458.99 billion), against SAR 1.726 trillion ($460.26 billion).

The pharmaceuticals sector levelled down 2.99%, followed by banks with 2.03%, and telecommunication services with 0.34% during the week.

On the other hand, the utilities sector edged up 0.87%, and materials rose 0.72%.

The average of trading value per each session decreased to SAR 3.88 billion in the week ended on 28 September, against SAR 3.9 billion in the week earlier.

Traded value average per each session went up 3.24% reaching 162.2 million shares, against 157.1 million shares.

On a weekly basis, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market levelled down 2.2% or 76.35 points to reach 3,362.91 points, against 3,439.26 points.
