Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) ended May in the red territory.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) lost 787.7 points, or 8.47%, to 8,516.48 points in a month.
Tadawul’s trading volume reached 3.5 billion shares over the month, while the market’s liquidity amounted to SAR 109.97 billion.
A group of 19 sectors declined this month, led by the consumer services sector, which dropped 10.86%.
TASI also went down in a week, weighed down by the banking and the telecommunications sectors.
The index shed 14.68%, or 0.17%, to 8,516.48 points over the week.
A number of four sectors levelled down, topped by the banking and the telecommunications sectors, which lost 1.49% and 0.72%, respectively.
Meanwhile, 17 sectors grew in a week, led by the media sector, which surged 16.14%.
