TASI rises, Nomu down at Thursday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 36 points, or 0.48%, to 7,489.17 points in Thursday’s early trades.

By 10:35 am KSA time, TASI’s trading volume reached 17.36 million shares changed hands through 13,700 transactions with a liquidity of SAR 540.55 million.

The pharmaceuticals sector increased 2.73%, followed by banks with 0.82%, and materials with 0.2%.

On the other hand, food and staples retailing sector inched down 0.22%, while telecommunication services shed 0.16%.

Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance’s stock grew 3.9% to SAR 90.30, whereas Southern Province Cement Company’s (SPCC) stock fell 2.03% to SAR 47.30.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, decreased 4.29 points, or 0.14%, to 3,105.93 points.

Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock declined 3.25% to SAR 65.90, whereas the stock Abo Moati for Bookstores rose 1.94%, registering SAR 11.42.
