TASI rises, Nomu drops at Wednesday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled up15.6 points, or 0.21%,  to 7,453.17 points.

TASI’s traded volume stood at 106.4 million shares on Wednesday, against 133 million on Tuesday, while trading value tumbled to SAR 2.75 billion, from SAR 3.4 billion.

The insurance, telecommunication services, and banks sectors went up 3.5%, 0.55%, and 0.06%, respectively.

On the flipside, the transportation sector fell 0.5%, while energy inched up 0.38%, whereas materials sector remained unchanged.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, retreated 26.7 points, or 0.85%, to close at 3,110.2 points.

Nomu’s trading value decreased to SAR 883,000 on Wednesday, from SAR 1.2 million on Tuesday.

Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock declined 4%, whereas the stocks of Arab Sea Information System and Abo Moati for Bookstores increased 1.1% and 0.7%, respectively.
