TASI rises 0.73%, Nomu jumps at Thursday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Thursday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went up 0.73%, or 52.77 points, to 7,277.06 points.

TASI’s trading volume decreased to 228.5 million shares on Thursday, against 244.55 million shares on Wednesday, while liquidity tumbled to SAR 4.05 billion ($1.08 billion), from SAR 4.43 billion ($1.18 billion).

The real estate management and development sector increased 1.85%, followed by energy with 1.34%, banks with 0.75%, materials with 0.49%, and telecommunication services with 0.49%.

The utilities, media, and consumer durables and apparel sectors edged down 0.21%, 0.21%, and 0.02%, respectively.

Makkah Construction and Development’s stock added 4.92% to SAR 78.30, whereas Saudi Re for Cooperative Reinsurance Co.’s stock fell 2.17%, closing at SAR 9.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, grew 0.56%, or 17.14 points, to 3,066.80 points.

Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock jumped 13.91% to SAR 23.50, whereas the stock of Development Works Food dropped 6.98 to finish at SAR 64.
