Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Thursday’s trading session in the green zone, as Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI), the main index, gained 0.83% or 46.15 points, closing at the level of 5,631.26 points.
Traded volume reached 202.56 million shares, traded through around 85,600 transactions with a total turnover of SAR 3.03 billion.
This is a good bounce for the market, technical analyst Salem Al Shwayman told Mubasher, adding that most stocks didn’t make any gains from the rise in oil prices.
The market awaits the financial results of the third quarter of 2016, most of which will be below desired, he added.
As for the sectors performance, 12 sectors rose while 3 declined, with petrochemical industries rising by 3.36%, banks and financial services adding 0.21%, while telecom and retail lost 1.24% and 0.21% respectively.
A total of 109 stocks were up today, while 51 went down and 9 remained unchanged.
Arabian Pipeline and Services (APC) or Anabeeb led the session’s gainer and jumped 9.96%, followed by Gulf General Cooperative Insurance and Saudi Electricity which surged by 9.83% and 7.12% respectively.
On the other hand, AlHokair was the biggest decliner losing 4.16%, followed by ZAIN and Atheeb with 3.5% and 3.13% respectively.
