Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended the week on Thursday, 7 September, in the green zone for the fifth week in a row.
Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 1.4% or 101.97 points, in two sessions, to reach 7,360.61 points, against 7,258.64 points before Eid Al Adha.
The market capitalisation rose to SAR 1.783 trillion ($463.64 billion) versus SAR 1.716 trillion ($457.55 billion) a week before, gaining SAR 22.83 billion ($6.09 million).
The media sector led the rising sectors with 12.6%, followed by the commercial and professional services sector with 3.94%.
Moreover, the banks, materials, and telecommunications sectors rose 2.1%, 1.27% and 0.39%, respectively.
On the other hand, four sectors dropped, led by the insurance sector with a 0.45% drop, followed by the healthcare sector with 0.41%.
On a weekly basis, the daily average traded value declined 6.8% to SAR 2.13 billion from SAR 2.3 billion, while the daily average trading volume dropped 12% to 90.5 million shares from 102.88 million shares.
On another note, the benchmark index (NOMU) of the Nomu-Parallel Market increased 0.09% or 3.16 points, closing at the level of 3,481.33 points, from 3,478.17 points.
