TASI rises modestly, Nomu stable early Wednesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Wednesday’s trading session in the green after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) grew 9.74 points, or 0.12%, to 8,066.78 points.

By 10:45 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume hit 24.3 million shares exchanged through 17,840 transactions at a turnover of SAR 470.96 million.

The capital goods sector led gainers with 0.64%, followed by the consumer durables and apparel sector with 0.6%.

The food and beverages sector inched up 0.36%, while the materials, banking and telecommunication services sectors gained 0.22%, 0.1%, and 0.08%, respectively.

On the other hand, the real estate management and development sector shed 0.18%, while the food and staples retailing sector decreased 0.15%.

The Saudi Cable Company’s stock led risers with 3.96%, while Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance’s stock was the worst performer with 1.2%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, remained unchanged at 2,548.53 points.
