Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange ended Wednesday’s trading session in the green, for the third day in a row.
Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) gained 0.66% or 37 points, closing at the level of 5,692.66 points, its highest in 11 sessions.
Traded values declined to SAR 2.8 billion ($745 million) compared to SAR 3.2 billion ($849 million) on Tuesday. Traded volumes also decreased to 213.2 million shares from 236.78 million shares in the last session.
As for the sectors performance, hotel and tourism added 2.34%, as Al Hokair Group surged 5.77%.
Transport, real estate, and industrial investment went up by 2.02%, 1.72%, and 1.64% respectively.
Banks and financial services gained 1.13%, as Banque Saudi Fransi, and Al-Rajhi Bank increased 2.83% and 1.96% respectively.
Petrochem levelled up 0.01% as SABIC added 0.4% and closed at SAR 83.75, while SAFCO slipped 0.2% to SAR 65.5.
On the other hand, only three sectors declined today, led by energy and utilities which lost 1.46%, as Saudi Electric and GASCO fell by 1.16% and 1.36% respectively.
Telecom slid 0.53%, as STC decreased by 1.17% to SAR 54.25, while Zain gained 3.09% to SAR 7.3.
Amana Insurance led the session’s gainers and surged 9.68% to SAR 6.8, while Takween was the top loser as it dropped 2.68% and closed at SAR 12.35.
Dar Al Arkan most active in traded volume at 49.3 million shares, while Alinma registered the highest turnover with SAR 352.7 million.
