TASI rises to highest level since July, NOMU returns to losses

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange's Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) on Thursday closed in green for the second session in a row.

TASI rose 0.75% or 54.49 points to 7,360.61 points, the highest level since the middle of July 2017.

Trading volume reached 105,310 shares from 75,690 shares on Wednesday, while traded value increased to SAR 2.52 billion from SAR 1.75 billion the day before.

The media sector led the gainers, with 3.1%, followed by the sectors of food and beverages, banks, materials, and telecommunications with 1.6%, 0.9%, 0.8%, and 0.13%, respectively.

The diversified financials sector led the losers with 0.33%, followed by the food and stables retailing sector with 0.2%.

Saudi Research and Marketing Group’s stock was the top gainer with 3.7%, while Al Alamyia was the top loser at 3.3%.

Alinma’s stock achieved the highest turnover at SAR 315.49 million, with 18.42 million shares traded.

On the other hand, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, slid 0.17% or 5.93 points to 3,481.33 points.

NOMU’s traded value fell to SAR 417,400 from SAR 1.06 million, as the trading volume shrank from 59,950 shares to 16,370 shares.
