Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday in green, for the second day in a row, supported by the positive performance in the banks and materials sectors.
The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 0.57% or 41.37 points to 7,285.75 points.
Traded value increased to SAR 3.2 billion ($863.2 million) from SAR 2.7 billion ($721.87 million), while trading volume hiked to 134.36 million shares from 117 million shares.
The utilities sector led the gainers with 1.4%, followed by the banks and materials sectors, with 1.05% and 0.33%, respectively.
On the other hand, the retailing sector led the losers with 1.12%, while the telecommunications dropped 0.13%.
As for stock performance, 111 shares rose, topped by Aldrees with 5.6% to SAR 30.95, while 65 shares declined, led by Medgulf with 5.46% to SAR 31.
On another note, the benchmark index (NOMU) of the Nomu-Parallel Market closed in red, losing 0.16% or 5.33 points to 3,329.68 points.
Al Kathiri was the only gainer in the parallel market, with a 0.47% rise to SAR 19.26, while Al Samaani led the losers, with 3.28% to SAR 59.
