Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark index ended Tuesday in the green, marking its second straight rise, whereas the Nomu parallel market index shed its gains from the previous session.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) grew 0.72% or 48.9 points, closing at 6,870.6 points. Turnover on the main bourse amounted to SAR 2.015 billion after 111.6 million shares were exchanged.
Most of Tadawul’s sectors ended in the green, while four were down and software and services remained unchanged.
As for TASI’s leading sectors, materials, banks and telecoms led risers, adding 0.85%, 0.69% and 0.43%, respectively.
In terms of stocks, Al Asmak topped gainers, surging 9.9% to SAR 25.6, whereas Saudi British Bank (SABB) led fallers, losing 1.2% to SAR 22.3.
Meanwhile, the Nomu index fell 1.77% or 72.9 points to 4,049.4 points. Turnover on the secondary market reached SAR 2.08 million after 98,000 shares changed hands.
Raydan led Nomu’s losers, falling 6.1%, while Development Works Food led risers, adding 1.12% and reaching SAR 90.
