TASI sees gains in week, maintains 7,500 level

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended the week on a positive note.

The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) rose 2.04% or 150.95 points, as it ended the week at the level of 7,562.1 points.

The market capital went up by SAR 39.47 billion ($10.5 billion) to close at SAR 1.781 trillion.

Average traded values rose 1.36% to SAR 3.3 billion, compared to SAR 3.2 billion per session in the week before, with turnovers totalling SAR 16.4 billion.

On the other hand, average volumes decreased by 8.85% to 124.9 million shares.

As for the market sector performance, 16 sector indices made gains this week, led by media and publishing with 3.9%, followed by food retail and pharmaceuticals with another 3.9%, and 3.4%, respectively.

Banks added 3.24%, telecom and materials also went up by 3.23% and 1.49%, respectively.

Meanwhile, four sectors ended the week on losses, led by REITS and health care, which declined by 0.86% and 0.61%, respectively.

The Nomu-Parallel Market losr 1.31%, as the main index settled at 3,117.2 points.

Traded values in the parallel market shrank to SAR 6.9 million, compared to SAR 14.3 million in the previous week.
