TASI sees marginal gains in February's last session

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Tuesday’s trading session in green, as the main index saw marginal gains after recent declines, with liquidity levels noticeably decreasing compared to the previous session.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled up 0.04%, gaining 3.09 points, and closed at the level of 6,972.39 points.

Traded values declined to SAR 3.97 billion ($1.06 billion) from SAR 4.5 billion ($1.2 billion) in Monday's session.

Likewise, traded volumes totalled 207 million shares compared to 266.13 million shares on Monday.

The Nomu-Parallel Market Index (NOMU) gained 1.48% or 87.12 points, and closed at the level of 5,989.94 points.

Meanwhile, twelve of Tadawul’s market sector indices closed in green, led by materials which rose 0.25%, after SABIC increased by 0.18% to SAR 97.

The telecom sector added 0.38%, as STC and Zain grew 0.7% and 1.4% and closed at SAR 65.5 and SAR 9, respectively.

On the other hand, the banks sector lost 0.6%, as NCB and Al Rajhi fell by 1.2% and 0.43%, respectively.

Arabia Insurance was the session’s top gainer and surged 9.8%, while Research and Marketing Group led the decliners and dropped 4.6%.

SABIC registered the highest turnover at SAR 430 million, while Alinma was the most active in traded volumes with 27.42 million shares.
