TASI sees steepest decline since May on Sunday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged by 4.12% or 350.59 points at the end of Sunday’s trading session, reaching 8,154.59 points.

This marks the general index’s biggest decrease since May 2020.

Turnover reached SAR 9.238 billion whilst the trading volume totalled 364.103 million shares.

Energy and materials dropped by 2.57% and 5.44%, respectively, while banks went down by 1.87%. Moreover, insurance and telecommunication services fell by 6.09% and 4.69%, respectively.

BinDawood Holding Co. headed the winners with 10%, whereas Saudi Arabia Refineries Company (SARCO) led the fallers with 10%.

Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development Company led the trading activity after exchanging 29.534 million shares whilst BinDawood logged the biggest turnover of SAR 738.229 million.

Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market Capped Index (NomuC) tumbled by 9.95% or 1,532.97 points to settle at 13,881.02 points.

The National Building and Marketing Co. headed the red territory with 16.58%.
