TASI sheds 32 pts, Nomu stable early Thursday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday's trading session in red territory, after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled down 32.20 points, or 0.4%, to 8,256.78 points.

By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 18.59 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 552.14 million through 15,960 transactions.

The capital goods sector fell 0.96%, followed by the food and staples retailing sector with 0.7%. The energy, materials, banking and telecommunication services  retreated 0.65%, 0.5%, 0.5%, and 0.3%, respectively.

On the other hand, the consumer durables and apparel sector rose 0.85%, while the insurance sector inched up 0.3%.

Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock declined 6.9%, whereas Al Rajhi Company for Cooperative Insurance’s (Al Rajhi Takaful) stock led gainers with 7.7%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, remained unchanged at 2,788.57 points.
