TASI sheds 49 pts, Nomu stable at Sunday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Sunday's trading session in decline after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 49 points, or 0.6%, to 8,318.4 points.

By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 26.75 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 634 million through 15,930 transactions.

The healthcare equipment and services sector dipped 3.3%, followed by a 0.86% drop in the materials sector, while the banking sector tumbled 0.45%.

On the other hand, the telecommunication services sector rose 0.67%, while the food and staples retailing sector inched up 0.63%.

Zamil Industrial Investment Co’s stock was the worst performer with 10%, while United Cooperative Assurance Co’s stock surged 5.28%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, remained unchanged at 2,759.2 points.
