Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Wednesday 2.15% or 151.3 points lower reaching 6,889.98 points.
TASI dropped down the level of 7,000 points for the first time since 20 June trading session.
TASI’s trading volume amounted to 147.55 million shares on Wednesday, against 117 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity increased to SAR 3.38 billion ($901 million), from SAR 2.53 billion ($675 million).
The pharmaceuticals sector levelled down 4.14%, followed by media with 4.06%, banks with 2.3%, materials with 2.03%, and telecommunication services with 0.19%.
Ash Sharqiyah Development’s stock was TASI’s worst performer with 9.8%, closing at SAR 45.10, whereas Saudi Ground Services Co’s (SGS) stock led risers with 2.7% reaching SAR 40.
In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market went down 1.36% or 43.14 points to reach 3,132.63 points.
Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock rose 0.34% to reach SAR 55.60, whereas Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock retreated 8.07% to SAR 16.64.
