Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell by 157.94 points, or 1.7%, to close at 9,178.96 points on Sunday.
TASI’s liquidity shrank to SAR 3.2 billion on Sunday, compared to SAR 3.39 billion in the previous session, while the main market’s traded volume retreated to 124.84 million shares from 139.85 million on Thursday.
The banking sector headed the fallers and dipped 2.1%, followed by the insurance and utilities sectors which went down 2.09% and 2%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the telecommunications sector decreased by 1.7%, while the basic materials sector retreated 1.3%.
On the other hand, the media sector rose by 9.2% after Saudi Research and Marketing Group’s stock topped the gainers and added 9.9%.
CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance’s stock led the decliners and slid by 5.3%.
Al Rajhi Bank’s stock spearheaded TASI in terms of turnover with SAR 369.33 million, while Alinma Bank’s stock registered the highest trading volume of 8.94 million shares.
In the meantime, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, grew by 51.21 points, or 1.4%, to finish the first session of the week at 3,660.34 points.
Thob Al Aseel’s stock was Nomu’s best performer with 4.6%, whereas Raydan’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer after dropping by 4.8%.
