Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 0.62% or 47.74 points to 7,608.33 points.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 174.13 million shares on Sunday, against 184.1 million on Thursday, while traded value tumbled to SAR 3.95 billion ($1.05 billion), from SAR 4.2 billion ($1.12 billion).
The retailing, pharmaceuticals, banks, materials, and telecommunication services sectors levelled down 2.77%, 1.29%, 0.98%, 0.36%, and 0.36%, respectively.
On the other hand, the media sector jumped 8.69%, while commercial and professional services rose 2.61%.
The Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Group’s (Medgulf) stock was TASI’s best performer with 9.94%, closing at SAR 22.30, registering its lowest level since listing, whereas the Saudi Research and Marketing Group’s stock went up 9.98 to SAR 74.50.
In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, decreased 0.15% or 4.71 points to 3,062.92 points.
Arab Sea Information System’s stock dropped 3.89% to SAR 11.60, whereas the stock of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ jumped 8.08% to SAR 74.
