Riyadh – Mubasher: The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed lower by 0.54% or 43.12 points at Monday's trading session to settle at 7,940.70 points, driven by last-minute selling pressures.
Banks fell 1.35%, telecommunication services dropped 0.96%, whereas energy added 1.33%.
Liquidity leapt to SAR 13.56 billion today, compared with SAR 9.075 billion on Sunday, the trading volume rose to 546.5 million shares from 369.57 million whereas the number of concluded deals reached 433,817 when compared to 362,272 yesterday.
The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) executed three special transactions on Saudi Aramco’s stock worth SAR 61.36 million or SAR 35.55 per share, which is the stock’s highest level on Monday.
The Saudi Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Appliances Corp (SPIMACO) headed the gainers with 10%, whereas Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO) led the losers with 2.93%.
Saudi Aramco was the most actively traded stock on all levels after exchanging 74.56 million shares at SAR 2.646 billion.
