Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday’s trading session in red territory after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged 109.98 points, or 1.3%, to 8,273.54 points.
By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume hit 31.93 million shares exchanged through 22,100 transactions at a turnover of SAR 637.82 million.
The materials sector lost 2.2% as Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company’s stock tumbled 7.3%, followed by the utilities, banking and telecommunication services sectors with 1.9%, 1.1%, and 0.8%, respectively.
Saudi Fisheries Company’s (Alasmak) stock led losers with 3.6%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, rose slightly 1.1 points, or 0.04%, to 2,826.06 points.
Baazeem Trading Co’s stock inched up 0.1%.
