Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Tuesday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went down 46.76 points, or 0.6%, to 7,717.75 points.
TASI’s trading volume hit 114 million shares, up from 110.4 million during Monday, while liquidity slid to SAR 2.46 billion ($656.27 million), from SAR 2.59 billion ($690.13 million).
The media and entertainment sector fell 2%, followed by the materials and telecommunication services sectors with 1.91%, and 0.43%, respectively.
On the other hand, the banking sector rose 0.32%, while the food and beverages sector inched up 0.06%.
Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co’s stock led losers after dropping 5.91%, while Riyad Bank’s stock was the best performer after adding 8.2%.
Alinma Bank’s stock, which fell 1.58%, led the main market in terms of liquidity after generating SAR 253.5 million, while the stock of Mobile Telecommunications Company Saudi Arabia (Zain), down 0.24%, posted the highest trading volume with 17.38 million shares.
In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, levelled up 37.51 points, or 1.58%, to close the mid-week session at 2,414 points.
The stock of Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company jumped 6.6%.
