Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended the week on Thursday, 12 October, with its Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) declining 3.7% or 271.5 points to 6,987.76 points, which is the second highest weekly drop in 2017.
The market capitalisation slid 3.5% or SAR 60.6 billion ($16.2 billion) to SAR 1.656 trillion.
Traded value also fell 10.9% to SAR 16.6 billion ($4.4 billion), while the trading volume dropped 4.7% to 651.7 million shares.
The market sectors saw a collective decline, led by the media with 6.5%, and the pharmaceuticals with 5.9%.
The leading sectors also dropped, led by the banks with 4.5%, followed by the materials and the telecommunications, with 3% and 2.5%, respectively.
On another note, the benchmark index (NOMU) of the Nomu-Parallel Market declined 4.3% or 137 points, closing at the level of 3,063.6 points.
NOMU traded value reached SAR 10 million, after trading 282,000 shares.
