TASI surges 152 pts, Nomu adds 42 pts at Thursday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Thursday in the green after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 151.53 points, or 1.89%, reaching 8,161.08 points, registering its highest growth rate in one-and-a-half months or since mid-April.

TASI’s trading volume increased to 196.58 million shares on Thursday from 134.86 million shares on Wednesday, while traded value rose to SAR 4.6 billion ($1.22 billion), from SAR 3.23 billion ($860 million), registering the highest liquidity in 12 sessions.

The materials, real estate management and development, banks, and telecommunication services sectors went up 2.95%, 2.29%, 1.96%, and 1.21%, respectively.

On the flipside, the consumer durables and apparel sector inched down 0.56%, while capital goods edged down 0.01%.

Arab National Bank’s stock jumped 6.29% to SAR 32.95, whereas Almarai Co’s was the worst performer having slid 9.86% to SAR 53.

In the meantime, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, levelled up 41.78 points, or 1.38% to 3,077.38 points.

Raydan Co’s stock topped Nomu’s gainers with 4.03%, whereas Al-Omran Industrial Trading’s stock shed 0.69%.
