TASI surges 49.70 pts, Nomu loses 15 pts at Thursday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended Thursday up after gaining 0.69% or 49.70 points to reach 7,283.01 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 126.33 million shares on Thursday against 106.4 million shares on Wednesday, while liquidity surged to SAR 3.09 billion from SAR 2.6 billion.

The materials, telecommunication services, and banks sectors increased 1.3%, 0.96%, and 0.5%, respectively.

On the flipside, the insurance sector fell 1.3%, and the media sector tumbled 0.6%.

Amana Cooperative Insurance’s stock was TASI’s best former with 3.8%, whereas Allied Cooperative Insurance Group’s (ACIG) stock topped losers after decreasing 6.8%.

The Saudi Basic Industries Corp’s (SABIC) stock led TASI in terms of trading value with a turnover of SAR 743.99 million, while Al Inma Bank’s stock led in terms of traded volume after 40.53 million shares were exchanged.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, levelled down 0.46% or 15.49 points reaching 3,362.91 points.

Nomu’s traded value amounted to SAR 1.42 million on Thursday against SAR 832,200 on Wednesday, whereas trading volume fell to 41,610 shares from 59,510 shares.

Raydan Co’s stock dropped 3.4%, whereas Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock went up 1.7%.

Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock topped Nomu in terms of trading value with a liquidity of SAR 847,970, while Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock led in terms of traded volume after 12,690 shares were traded.
