Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday in the green zone after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) grew 0.2% or 14.12 points, to reach 6,948.49 points.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 156.53 million shares on Wednesday, against 178.5 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity tumbled to SAR 3.08 billion ($821.87 million), from SAR 3.32 billion ($835.3 million).
The real estate investment traded funds (REITs) sector grew 0.72%, followed by banks with 0.47%, and materials with 0.17%.
On the flipside, the food and staples retailing sector decreased 1.37%, and telecommunication services edged down 0.36%.
The Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Group’s (Medgulf) stock led TASI's risers after growing 4.44%, to close at SAR 34.10, whereas Trade Union Cooperative Insurance Co.’s stock went down 5.81% to SAR 21.58.
In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, soared 4.36% or 135.37 points to reach 3,242.82 points.
Al-Omran Industrial Trading’s stock declined 5.81% to reach SAR 16.20, whereas Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock rose 6.25%, closing at SAR 68.
