TASI up 4th day in row to highest level in 12 sessions

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Tuesday’s trading session in green, continuing its positive performance for the fourth consecutive session and reaching its highest level in 12 session.

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went up by 1.12% gaining 78.7 points and closed at 7,091.88 points, its highest level since 8 January, moving closer towards regaining its level above 7,100 points.

Traded values declined in today’s session to SAR 5.03 billion ($1.34 billion) compared to SAR 5.5 billion (1.47 billion) last session, and traded volumes also decreased to 281.1 million shares compared to 309.95 million shares on Monday.

All of the market sector indices closed in green, except for three, media and publishing, real estate management and development, and consumer durables and apparel, as the fell by 0.61%, 0.12%, ad 0.05% respectively.

The telecom sector led the gains as it added 3.09% as STC, Mobily, and Zain rose by 1.87%, 6.35%, and 3.61% respectively.

Materials increased by 1.39%, as SABIC went up by 0.48% and closed at SAR 94.5, while SAFCO lost 0.43% to the level of SAR 72.25.

Banks gained 0.84% as Al Rajhi closed at SAR 64.75, rising by 0.61%, while NCB grew 1.68% to SAR 43.

Today, 132 stocks closed in green, while 45 closed in red, and Umm Al-Qura Cement was today’s top gainer as it surged 9.78%, while United Cooperative Insurance (Walaa) led the decliners and lost 26.6.

SABIC registered the highest turnover with SAR 410.5 million, while Dar Al Arkan was the most active in traded volumes with 52.87 million shares.
