TCA Abu Dhabi inks 30 deals to boost tourism

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA) announced signing 30 contracts with international tourism firms to improve tourism during the second half of 2017, Alitthad newspaper reported, citing TCA director of promotions and overseas offices Mubarak Al Nuaimi.

TCA held partnerships and agreements with 12 companies in India and China to sell tourism packages in Abu Dhabi starting from the summer until the end of 2017, Al Nuaimi added.

In May, the TCA organised a promotional campaign in a number of Chinese cities to support tourism in Abu Dhabi as a leading tourist destination.

In Europe, the authority signed contracts with 18 tourism companies in Germany, Italy, France, and the UK, the director of promotions and overseas offices in TCA revealed.

The TCA is participating in 19 exhibitions and organising a roadshow spanning 10 international markets in 2017.

Hotel guests in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi rose 4% to reach 1.16 million in the first quarter of 2017, according to data released by the TCA.
