Cairo – Mubasher: Orange Egypt said Tuesday the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) ordered Telecom Egypt (TE) to pay the company EGP285.19 million ($32 million) in return for interconnection fees.
TE was also bound to pay overdue payment interests and the costs of arbitral proceedings.
On 11 August 2014, the cell phone operator filed a case against TE as a result of a dispute over interconnection rates worth EGP418 million.
