Cairo – Mubasher: Vodafone Egypt has partnered with TPAY Mobile, a digital payment enabler in the Middle East and Africa, to launch Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) on the Google Play store.
TPAY Mobile will allow Vodafone Egypt's 41 million subscribers to buy paid apps and games from the store without using a credit card by charging the payments to their mobile phone bill or airtime balance.
Headquartered in the UAE and operating in several countries across the region, TPAY Mobile provides this digital payment method to the subscribers for the first time in Egypt, according to a press release on Monday.
The company noted that the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) has led to a great reliance on cashless payments and contactless payment transactions to keep people safe.
Commenting on the launch of the new service, founder and CEO of TPAY MOBILE, Sahar Salama, said: "We are committed to provide a seamless, secure, convenient and safe digital payment experience to all our users."
