Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) saw a negative performance in the week ended 1 June, in line with the decline of most sectors.
The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 0.12% or 8.1 points to reach 6,863.6 points.
Similarly, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market slid 1.2% or 50.4 points to the level of 4,044.4 points, continuing its downtrend for the six successive week.
The media sector led losers with a 2.6% decline, while the telecommunication services and materials sectors declined 0.4% and 0.53%, respectively.
On the other hand, the food and beverages topped gainers with a 3.5% increase, while the banks sector added 0.09%.
Tadawul's turnover amounted to SAR 10.02 billion ($2.7 billion) this week, compared to SAR 12.9 billion ($3.45 billion) last week. Trading volume reached 582.4 million shares, compared to 763 million shares.
In the parallel market, turnover stood at SAR 8.45 million this week compared to SAR 16.04 million last week. Trading volume reached 415,000 shares, compared to 706,800 shares.
