Tadawul, Nomu end Thursday in red

Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) shed 0.63% or 43.63 points to 6,924.08 points at Thursday’s close.

Traded value fell to SAR 3.75 billion ($999 million) on Thursday compared to SAR 3.37 billion ($899 million) on Wednesday.

Traded volume went down to 248.65 million shares from 207 million shares.

The REITs sector led the worst performers and fell 2.5%, followed by the retail and media sectors which went down 2.1% and 1.8%, respectively.

The telecom, banks, and materials sectors decreased 0.97%, 0.7%, and 0.36%, respectively.

The pharmaceutical sector topped the green zone and rose 1.1%.

Dar Al Arkan was the most active in terms of traded value and volume, exchanging 77.59 million shares at a value of SAR 489.3 million. The stock recorded the highest loses and declined 4.5%.

Moreover, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market lost 1.8% or 78.86 points to 4,395.23 points.

Traded volume reached 112,430 shares, while turnover reached SAR 2.3 million on Thursday.

Raydan Co was the most active in terms of traded value and volume exchanging 33,270 shares at a value of SAR 889,000. The stock ended at SAR 26.20.

Raydan came on top of the losing stocks on Nomu and fell 3.3%, while Arab Sea and Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries added 3.8% and 0.6%, respectively.
