Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) went up 0.03% or 2 points to 6,920.82 points at Wednesday's open.
By 10:45 am KSA time, 34.15 million shares were exchanged through 13,520 transactions at a value of SAR 467.4 million.
The utilities sector led the green zone and increased 2%, followed by the consumer durables and pharma by 0.34% and 0.3%, respectively.
The material and banks sectors added 0.1% and 0.19%, respectively.
On the other hand, the food sector decreased 0.5%, followed by the transport and telecom sectors which fell 0.37% and 0.17%, respectively.
MESC topped the best performers and gained 7.5%, while Nama Chemicals led the worst performers and lost 6.1%.
Moreover, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market rose 1.6% or 67.6 points to 4,437.88 points.
Al Omran Industrial Trading Co decreased solely by 1.96%, while Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries Co led gainers and advanced 3%.
